Custom website development
A company website built around your content and the way your business works, not around a template. It loads fast, search engines understand it and you edit the content yourself.
Every quote is individual, based on the scope.
What you get
- Design based on your brand and content
- An admin where you change text and images without a developer
- Works on phones, tablets and desktops
- Technical SEO: structure, metadata, sitemap, structured data
- Fast loading and good Core Web Vitals
- Language versions, forms and analytics as needed
When a custom website makes sense
A template is enough as long as the website only presents the company. A custom website pays off once it has a specific job to do: collecting enquiries the way your process works, connecting to other systems, handling several languages or staying fast with a lot of content.
The second reason is long-term. A custom website has no code you don't use and no dozens of plugins to keep updated, and you build on it instead of working around a template's limits.
How the website is built
We start with a short call to clarify who the website is for and what it should do. Then I send a written proposal with the scope, technical approach, price and timeline.
During development I show finished parts on a staging address, so you see progress and can react before everything is done. After launch I watch the first days in production and, if agreed, keep looking after the site.
Speed and SEO from the start
Speed and technical SEO aren't an afterthought. From day one the website outputs clean HTML with proper headings, metadata, a sitemap and structured data. Images load in modern formats and only when they're needed.
That's why the site does well in Core Web Vitals, which Google takes into account when ranking results, and visitors don't leave before the page loads.
Technology
I build websites with Next.js and React. I pick the admin based on how much content you have and who will edit it, so that changes are easy even without technical knowledge.
What a custom website costs
Every quote is individual, based on the scope of content, the number of page types, languages and integrations. After the intro call you get a written proposal with the price and timeline, so you know the cost up front.
FAQ
- How long does it take to build a website?
- A smaller company website takes weeks; a larger one with several languages and integrations takes longer. The exact schedule is part of the proposal.
- Will you move the content from my current website?
- Yes. Moving the content and redirecting old URLs are part of the launch, so the website keeps its search rankings.
- Will I be able to edit the website myself?
- Yes. You change text, images and other content in the admin without a developer. We agree at the start what you want to be able to edit.
- Will you look after the website after launch?
- Yes, if agreed. Updates, backups and ongoing changes are covered by the Maintenance and takeover service.
